• The Spanish Robotics Conference, organized by the Spanish Control Committee (Comité Español de Automática, CEA), took place in Valencia in June 2017 and take up the traditional Conference of the Robotics Community that were celebrated in different places of the Spanish geography for years.

  
  CEA, through its Robotics Thematic Group (GTRob), opened this conference to the entire national robotics community, to associations, platforms, consortiums, companies, groups and researchers. Robotics, which today has become interdisciplinary, needs the contribution of all technologies without exclusion.

  
  During the conference, results of national and international projects were presented, representing a discussion forum to debate ideas and new proposals.

  
  The event was organized by the Institute of Automation and Industrial Informatics (ai2) of the Universitat Politècnica de València and was hold in the Polytechnic City of Innovation, located in the Campus de Vera. The novelty for this edition is that registration was free for all participants.
